Taxi from Colombo Airport (CMB) to Sigiriya
Looking for a reliable taxi from Colombo Airport to Sigiriya? Jayasinghe Tours is based in Katunayake, beside Bandaranaike International Airport, so your driver is already close when you land. The distance to Sigiriya is about 170 km and the journey takes about 4 to 4.5 hours with a break.
Sigiriya Rock Fortress rises 200 m from the central plains and is the best-known sight in the Cultural Triangle, close to Dambulla cave temple and Minneriya and Kaudulla national parks.
About the Journey
The road passes through small towns, so travel time varies. We suggest a comfortable break on the way, and we can plan a morning climb of Sigiriya Rock to beat the heat and the crowds.
Our drivers are local, speak English and know the roads and the best places to stop. The vehicle is air-conditioned and fits your luggage, from a compact car for couples to a minivan for families and groups. See our car rental with driver service if you want the same driver for your whole trip.
